If You're Considering visiting Fiesta Texas or Schlitterbahn hear me out...
If your family plans to make several water park trips each summer, it may be worth comparing Six Flags and Schlitterbahn season pass options before you buy.
🌊 Why our family chose Schlitterbahn
This year we purchased Schlitterbahn season passes, and they've already paid for themselves.
Our family loves Schlitterbahn because:
There are tons of attractions for toddlers, younger kids, and bigger kids.
You're allowed to bring your own cooler, which saves a surprising amount on food.
We enjoy turning it into a quick Hill Country staycation.
For our first trip of the summer, we booked one night at the resort during a buy one night, get one free promotion. We checked in, spent the afternoon at the park, stayed overnight, enjoyed a full second day, then spent the entire checkout day back in the park and left around dinner. It ended up feeling like nearly three days of water park fun for the price of one overnight stay. We packed our cooler and used the kitchen at the resort and saved a ton on food. We only bought Dip'n Dots the entire time we were there at the water park.
🎢 Don't overlook the Six Flags connection
One of the biggest perks is that select Six Flags and Schlitterbahn passes include admission to both parks.
That means one pass can give you access to:
🌊 Schlitterbahn New Braunfels
🎢 Six Flags Fiesta Texas & other Six Flags locations across Texas
If you've never visited Hurricane Harbor, it's located near the front of Fiesta Texas, making it easy to spend the day enjoying just the water park without trekking across the entire amusement park.
🏖️ Worth comparing before you buy
Depending on the pass you choose, you may also receive perks like:
Hotel discounts
Cabana discounts
Bring-a-friend tickets
Free parking
If you're thinking you'll visit even once or twice a month, it's worth comparing the different pass levels before purchasing day tickets. I call them every single time before I purchase any passes and talk to them about my specific family and plans figure out the best solution for us. They are very helpful. I recommend calling the Schiltterbahn resort directly as I find them the most knowledgable.
