    Café at the Ridge is a family-friendly restaurant that regularly hosts free community events throughout the year. Families can often find toddler activities, family entertainment, seasonal programs, and special events on the schedule. During the summer, recurring favorites include Toddler Time on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with Woodrow, making it an easy spot to pair free fun with a meal.

    Kerr Kids is a nonprofit indoor play space designed for children ages 8 and under, offering a free place to play, learn, and connect. They offer regular open play sessions multiple days throughout the week. Check the link for upcoming sessions and RSVP details.

    Kroc Center
    The Kroc Center's outdoor water park features two large water slides, a zero-entry pool with a mini water park for younger children, and a swimming pool with a climbing wall. This summer, admission is just $1 for Kerrville residents through a partnership with local churches, making it one of the best family bargains in town.

  • Carver Park

    One of Kerrville's best free ways to cool off during the summer. Carver Park features a SprayGround, playground, covered pavilion, basketball court, walking trail, sports field, and picnic areas. The SprayGround is typically open April through October from 10 AM to 7 PM and is closed on Tuesdays for routine maintenance.
